This is our first step into this project.

A performance to explore the relationship between two art forms. Coexisting in the same time and space, interacting with each other and inspiring each other’s next decision. Film capture/development and sound capture/production. The idea of a performance that feeds on the process of both art forms to create something entirely new. A jam between processes.

This short film was made during our one-week Incubate residency with Placemakers on the Gold Coast. We used the week to have a long version of the performance we are planning. Instead of a live performance, we used a video as our medium. Capturing the sounds and video a week before, we constructed the film, sounds and music within the week using eachother’s processes as inspiration. Recording not only the film development process but also our conversations and explanations of each other’s techniques. The result is a sort of promotional video to aid the explanation of what we are trying to do, to ourselves as well as others.
